My listing doesn't appear when I search for my town yet it shows as "listed'

Same here. The listing does not appear at all. No changes made. We do have a couple of guest arriving in the next couple of weeks. Although we have availability from end of March onwards our listing does not show.

Assumption: We have 2 bookings in the next 2 weeks and as a result we do not appear in the search result until some time after the last guest has left. As said, this is an assumption - has anyone experienced something similar?

Hello @Isobelle0,

I searched on a chrome browser without any dates, just selected number of guests = 3. Your lisitng appears in the 1st position 🙂

Try adding filters, you should be able to see it as well. Guests mostly search with filters.

Hope that helps 🙂

The ranking algorithm uses a variety of factors, so there's no way to determine where a particular listing will show up. Others mention it's based on the browser, which is not really true. It's more based on the cookies and other information, which is based on the user's history for that browser on that computer. You can see the difference by doing a search while logging in in normal mode. Then do the exact same search using private/incognito mode on your browser without logging into the site. The range of dates and other filters also impact which sites are shown. Of course, there is a good deal of randomization as well, so that each property in a given rank will be seen by approximately the same number of eyeballs. The algorithm can use lots of information...does a listing have "holes" in the calendar that need to be filled? Does the potential guest tend to click on listings with warm colors, or cool colors on the main photo (warm colors get more clicks by the way). Has the guest previously stayed in similar listings? Etc. There are hundreds or thousands of data points that can go into the algorithm.

Hi,

we have three listings. One of them appears on search but, the other two do not. A friend who wanted to visit tried to make a reservation and failed as she could not see the house anywhere no matter how many filters she used.

Why does Airbnb do that?

My listing appears only when I'm logged in my airbnb account, for other clients it is not seen and nobody can book. Where should I write about this problem?

Thank you

I am having same  problem. I can see my listing when I am logged in but not when I do a search. I would really like to have this explained. Also my house will sleep 6 but it's also great for 2. It showed up on a search for 6 when I was logged out but not for 2. Why is this? Its very frustrating. If it's not listed we cant get any bookings, simple as that!

It happened to me for exactly one month, I am sure as one can be that I was being punished for refusing too many potential guests. I don't know whether this applies to you...?

Hi  I am fairly new to airbnb-1 month now.  I also noticed no listing showing(Stokesdale home)  Is there a way to use hashtages to be visible?   It is very important for the listing to be visible now, as there is a high season for market in the next two weeks.  Someone already booked for part of it so it is being seen-- but it looks like very few views and one save.

Please will someone check if they can find my listing when searching, as far as I'm aware it is not coming up. 2bed/ 2 bath apartment in Mouille Point Cape Town

Well kind of comforting to see I'm not the only one... on the other hand frustating there seems to be nothing you can do about it. It seems to be totally random if my listing shows up or not. I didn't decline any reservations, am a superhost, didn't make any major changes, but somehow reservations dropped by I guess about 75% compared to last year! So I started looking and noticed that often my listing doesn't show up. Some dates it does, others it doesn't (and yes I'm searching available dates, of course).

AirBnB what's going oooonnnnn!?

Like you, I’m a super host and I’ve even turned on ‘Instant Book’ but my bookings have dropped by about 85%. It’s disappointing as my first year on Airbnb I had lots of bookings.

I thought I was falling into this category but I figured it out so I thought I would share.  I coudn't see my listing on a very general search, only selected dates.  However, since the dates I selected were one week away it was turning on the instant book filter automatically.  Since I don't have that feature, might add it but for now I don't, then it wasn't coming up.  Maybe this applies to some of you?  Just in case : )

this was very helpful - thank you very much!

I have Instant Book turned on and my listing still doesn’t come up in a general search of Auckland. I’m also a superhost too.

Look if your search include "instant booking" while you don't have it turned on. Or other filters like "size" or "amenities". Those are the main reasons you can't find your listings in your search

Also, if you search accomodation for 1 guest and your listing has 8 beds than your listing will not be on the top of the search, maybe it wont be shown at all untill you zoom deep in your area

I hope I helped

My listing shows when I search the town however if I pic a specific date that I have available the listing does not appear. If I don't pick a date it shows? Plus if I search for a specific date it does not let me expand the range beyond 2 days. For example I can only search aug 20-21 I cannot pick 21-22-23

Hello Chad make sure the maximum length of stay you have choosen to set for receiving guests is not 2days be sure it is set for longer (if not no restriction)

I posted my first listing this week. I saw it in the search results on the first day and now it's no longer there when I conduct a search. I do not have the Instant Book filter checked and I've tried from both a desktop and mobile app. Any suggestions?
