2 Step Authentication problems when using Earnings and reports in UK

Good morning

I am a Superhost in Wales  UK with two holiday let cottages.  The Welsh Government require us to submit records showing number of nights booked and relevant earnings on a regular basis.  In order to compile these records, I need to use the 'Paid' and 'Reports' sections of my Host platform, inputting 'Custom Dates' to access the figures I need.

Each time I change the dates, I am sent a 2 step Authentication request (which is tedious enough!), but more frustrating is the fact that once I have done this a few times, I am locked out for an hour.

I spoke to customer services yesterday and was informed it is as a result of a requirement of European Law...... for those that know, Wales is not in Europe anymore, (but that's a completely separate rant!)

Is anyone else experiencing this headache?

@Edmund99 my advice is to keep a simple spreadsheet into which you type every booking. Ours for 3 properties took next to no time and allowed us to collect all the data needed for both the VoA forms (proving business rates are due) and HMRC tax forms.

Thank you - that makes a lot of sense.....but not sure how this will help me with collating the information from the  the last three years bookings?

And I am at a loss to understand why its necessary - surely it is within the gift of Airbnb to have a usable platform?  All the information I require is in their system - I am just repeatedly blocked from accessing it.

"Maybe the "list of reservations"  ,with the filter and report features, will also be usefull for your purpose ?
