30 day rentals

Hi I'm new to hosting.

I have a person wanting a discount on a 30 day rental.  I offered them a discount.  In the breakdown I don't see the security deposit.  How can I add that in, or itemize the fees?

Airbnb don't charge a security deposit. This is one of the reasons they are not suitable for long term rentals.

@Debra525  As Mike and Jane said, the Airbnb security deposit is bogus. You should not accept month long bookings, especially as a new host.

And people who start off asking for discounts are big red flags. Many hosts offer weekly or monthly discounts, but those are already set up on their listings. Agreeing to a discount because a guest asks for one is a bad idea.

Also, you need to edit your listing. It says 3 bedrooms 4 guests, 1 bed.

Do not list the third bedroom as a bedroom if it is used as an office. 

It looks like you have a large bed in the master bedroom and 2 twins in the second bedroom.

So it should read 4 guests, 2 bedrooms, 3 beds.
