AirBnb Overcharging My Guests for Occupancy Taxes

I reconciled the amount of taxes owed vs what AirBnb collected for the first quarter of 2025 and was surprised to find out that AirBnb collected 25.1% MORE than actually owed ($1,628.23 vs $1,301.15). Does anyone know what happens to the surplus collected by AirBnb?

Thanks,

James

Hi @James2378

I hope you're well 🙂

As it has been a few weeks since you shared this with us, I wanted to  check in and see if you'd talked about this with the Support teams and found out more perhaps?

Let us know how you're getting on please!

Thanks,

Emilie
