Annual tax declaration compliance in Mexico

According to this:

Opción para la retención de Airbnb

Ingresos por salarios

Presentación de declaración anual

Opté por considerarla pago definitivo

Salario anual mayor a $400,000,

Salarios de dos o más patrones, o

No laboraste año completo

Debes presentar declaración anual considerando solamente tus ingresos por salarios

Salario anual menor a $400,000

No presentas declaración anual por ningún tipo de ingreso

Opté por considerarla pago provisional

Obtuviste cualquier cantidad por concepto de salarios

Presentas declaración anual tanto por los ingresos de tu actividad en Airbnb como por tus salarios

If I choose to let Airbnb pay the taxes as a final payment of my rental, and I do not have any other Mexican income, then I do not have to file an annual tax return with Mexico.

Does anyone know otherwise?

Hi @Teresa2027 Sharing a little more information about your question could help hosts offer their advice. Are you located in Mexico, or perhaps you're a foreigner with property in Mexico?

I came across a guide written by a host about 👉US citizens with property in Mexico and payout methods. While I'm not 100% sure if it fits your situation, it might be worth taking a look and perhaps reaching out to some hosts directly.

Here's another thought: you could pop this question into our 👉Spanish Community, where we have plenty of Mexican hosts who could also help with their advice.

Good luck,
