Hi, I recently received a letter from Puerto Rico Board of Turismo stating I am required to have a bond to cover me if the taxes are not paid. Is anyone aware of this and does Airbnb cover it.

The CC is international. You will have a better chance of finding answers by visiting your local Host Clubs. 😊

@Kiyo57 Are your taxes collected and paid directly by AirBnB? If so, it may be that AirBnB is the one that has to have the bond. You need to verify this with your local tax authority as it may be impossible to get an answer from AirBnB's customer service.
If AIrBnB collects the taxes but sends them to you for payment to the tax authority, then I would expect that you have to have the bond. Again, contact your local tax authority for clarification.
It is required in Puerto Rico. It is not covered by turismo. The laws are changing got short term rentals in Puerto Rico. Some towns are also requiring other permits and licenses starting in June 1st. You should check in your town hall ( Alcaldía )
