Airbnb. Good Afternoon.
I am a outstanding host for more than 10 years.
I explained to the guest in detial my situation. I do have private guests from India. The man got a contract from Coega and his wife a dentist. They rent from me until they got a house.
They were supposed to depart to their new house on 30 April 2026.
They now very well I do have guests from the 2nd of May.
They informed me 3 days before the 2nd May that unfortunately they can't move out due to the final papers for their house is not in place.
They also said that they can't move out because my house is setup for them with the computers and their 4 daughters in their rooms. They are very sorry. Hopefully by die 15th of this month they can move.
My only choice was to inform my guest Andrew of the situation.
Andrew was very cross and did want to communicate with me. He said I was a con and a thief. He didn't want to listen to my situation.
The only way out was to get the Police to get rid of my present guests. Still Andrew did not want to listen to any reason. He was totally unreasonable.
He was also saying very bad thinks about AIRBNB. I explained to the guest that Airbnb is not responsible for this situation.
Furthermore I arranged with another Airbnb for accommodation for them. They ask R3500 per night and is very luxurious. I forward the guest some photos. I arranged that the guest could stay there for the same price at what they would stay at my place.
The guest decline and said he doesn't want anything from me. He was very rude and ungrateful.
Sometimes in life you get an emergency and you must handle it as the best you can.
I feel totally happy that I handle the situation as good as possible.
Unfortunately there are people that are unreasonable and you need the necessary patience.
