Cannot run promotion on previously blocked dates

I had family coming to town so I had blocked some dates.  Now, due to the pandemic they have cancelled.   I have unblocked the dates but I am unable to run a "promotion" on those dates.

Promotions are offered on certain range of dates. Maybe select another (larger range) to see if they come up. If not, you have manual options (like discounts) to attract guests.

Thank you for your help.   The two days prior to the now-unblocked-dates, and the dates after are available for a promotion.  I've tried to select the day before through the day after and it still doesn't work.   On my regular calendar the dates are available but when I go into promotions the dates are in grey.
