It's a fee you charge guests for cleaning. It's on a per booking basis rather than a nightly basis. 

I'm not a big believer in "extra" fees. I build everything into the nightly rate, and don't charge a "cleaning fee". But I have a 5 or 7 night minimum stay.

Others who have 1-2 night minimum stay charge a separate cleaning fee because one night rate generally won't  be enough to pay for cleaning. You need at least 2-3 nights' rate to make it worth the cost of cleaning.
