Cohost

Cohost

Good evening Airbnb community! I have over 20 Short term rental units in Nashville TN, Birmingham AL and PCB Fl. I am looking to start a cohosting side of my business to expand streams of income! Does anyone have any tips on the typical rate charged and what to expect?

Hi @Onyx-Stays0 👋

Are you part of the Co-host Network? If you're eligible to join, it would be a great space for you to chat with other Co-hosts.

But in the meantime, we can tag a few Co-hosts here who may be able to stop by and share their thoughts with you: @Joan2709 @Helen3 @Stanja0 @Nathan146 @Bec3748 @Ryan4241 @Elise43 @Monica3088 @Kathleane0

Thank you for asking @Rebecca. I'm not a member of the Co-host Network and don't plan to be in the near future.

Hi! It really depends on the market, and on the power the co-host has in Airbnb's search algorithm. I would recommend connecting with Nashville's Airbnb Community Leader, Barb Culligan, through the Nashville  Airbnb Host Club to get some insider intel.

There are so many different ways to co-host, I'm not sure I can give you guidance on what's typical-- I work in Central Virginia, and I charge at the top of the market for very hands-on, concierge service. But my market has bottom-feeders who charge 10%, get middling reviews, and stay in buisness. There is a big spread depending on the model. You might check out the Experienced Co-Hosting Marketplace to get an idea of prices-- all co-hosts there are carefully vetted by Airbnb, so they often tend to work at the higher end.

You can find out how much cohosts charge charge in your location by carrying out your market research locally. Do make sure you have a contract you can use to provide services.
