Condo Association cancels short term rentals!

I wanted to start up my first Airbnb. Found a condo I liked in May 2021. I reached out and asked if I would be allowed to use it as a short term rentals for was told yes, a lot of people there do that. I got it up and running in December and have thoroughly enjoyed it and put a lot of money into it. I just received an email that the association will be voting on not allowing short term rentals any longer. Three weeks after I put in an $11,000 a/c unit thinking we would make up that money over time from our bookings. Anyone had something like this happen? I love my condo and love hosting and am absolutely devastated.

 Join the condo association in order to be informed and to have more weight on the decision.

And ask then why they have voted that decision
