Confused re how to file a return. UK

Help please?

I am trying to file a return myself - does anyone know how to do this.

I have gone onto the Gov.UK but it is a bit confusing for me.

Am I classed as a sole trader if I rent a room?

I do not rent out a whole property so I do not think that the income from property applies to  me.

Regards

@Carmen802 if you only rent a room you only need to declare income over £7500. Does this apply to you?

'@mike-and-jane0  I have exceeded £7500  so I do have to declare the profit.

What I cannot do is find out how to do so.

I have logged in.

I have a reference number UTR but thereis no link to file a tax return(self assessment)

I asume i am self employed as there is no other option.

I am filling in the form now biut it is asking for details from my full time employment - is this correct?

@Carmen802 at the start of the process you customise the form to your specific needs. If you say you are employed then you need to fill out the income received and tax Paid. Same with shares or interest bearing accounts. Did you click the link in my second post? If so it might help to read the whole document.

@Carmen802 The fact that the rent a room scheme is discussed in the property manual suggests you need o fill in the property sections of the tax return.
