County Hotel/Motel Tax and Sales Tax in Galena Il

my county does not accept air bnb to pay them. i have to pay and file the hotel tax. air bnb has been collecting these taxes and not paying me ? theres also sales tax. i do not see air bnb collecting this tax? i need to see what taxes air bnb is charging my guests and what they are sending me. has air bnb paid any of my state or county taxes? if so i need proof for the state and county. if not, i need the hotel/motel tax and any state sales tax that the guest should be paying sent to me.let me know these answers.thx,Guy

@Guy970 just search for your listing in Airbnb and simulate a booking. It will show what taxes etc are being charged. It is down to the host to properly specify what taxes they want Airbnb to collect for them.

thanks. it says occupancy tax and nothing about sales tax. air bnb has been charging  my guests and occupancy tax and  not sending the tax payments to me? i called the county and they said they do not accept payments from air bnb and i need to file and pay the taxes. when i call i keep getting support people in ** and say they are working on it. its been a week and no answers?
