Covid-19 cancelation and no payout

Hello,

 

I think I should be getting a payout, but Airbnb notes "separate policy applies" for the reason I don't get the payout. 

 

On March 9, this person booked a reservation for May 28 - June 2, but then had to canceled because the event they were meant to attend was canceled because of the pandemic. 

 

What am I missing? Has anyone else experience this?

@Tiffany442  When you say payout, do you mean the 25% of what you should have received if your cancellation policy had been upheld? You have a moderate cancellation policy- if the guest cancelled more than 5 days before check-in date, you would't have been eligible for any payout, therefore you are not eligible for any recompense. If you are just talking bout a normal payout, guests who booked before March 14 are all able to cancel with full refund under the EC for reasons relating to COVID.
