Creating a new listing from an existing one

Hello to All

I am a new   in this community. 

I have an issue with Airbnb  

8 year ago we created a listing which by mistake apparently has been passed  as a business account instead of  a private account.

Although I have explained Airbnb  is unable to understand or change  this,   which resulted into blocking our calendar .  We  have only  a summer house which we  occasionally rent during the summer. 

Airbnb  suggested to open a new account  and change gmail account and phone number  which seems to to me to be very odd.

If I  use the facility to open a duplicate account (to save inputting all data again ) will this also be regarded as a business account or can I declare it as private ??

I wouldn't bother trying to duplicate the account...it doesn't work very well on Airbnb and many parts of the listing still need to be updated manually. I suggest you start a new listing from scratch and just "unlist" the previous one. The reason Airbnb is saying to use different phone number & email is because you can't have the same phone number on 2 different profiles.

 

Do you have a business account profile currently with Airbnb? If so, I would setup an individual profile with a different phone number and email and create a new listing using that.
