Creating an additional charge for charity

Hi, 

I want to add a 1% fee that will be collected to give to a local charity. Is there a way for Airbnb to show this?

There is no such "charity" option.

The only alternative way is using the "community fee" for this (See under fees in the pricing section), wich you can set an fixed amount or a percentage from the reservation, which will be listed as a separate line on the booking.

@Warren178 You can donate any portion of your AirBnB proceeds to charity at any time. Why does AirBnB need to show this?

Nice idea.  In my opinion, as a guest I would prefer to have the option to donate to a charity.  Maybe a donation  box and a pamphlet explaining.

On a lighter note, we have a lot of guests who enjoy their wine/beer at the campfire.  I always gently suggest that if they have returnable  bottles, they are free to leave them behind, and we donate whatever proceeds to local charities.  Most do leave them, but at $0.20 per bottle, it's not a huge amount, but it does help and it makes the guests feel good.
