Creating custom promotions

Hi there! I'm trying to offer a discount for longer stays, but only for a specific time frame. For example, I have availability in one of my chalets between 30 of July to August 15th. What I'd like to do is offer different discounts for different lengths of stay that would be available only for these dates. Right now I'm offering a 15% discount for weekly stays and this is generally available. If possible, I'd like to offer free nights type of discounts, without affecting the minimum stay length. If someone wants to book 2 nights in this time frame, they'd pay the full price. If they'd be willing to extend their stay, I wish I could offer different discounts to entice them to prolong their stay. Using the custom promotion tool doesn't help, as the discount would apply to every booking, even to the minimum stay booking as well. 

Is there any way to do this that I'm not seeing?

Rule sets have a lot of options to set specific requirements and can be applied to a specific time period.
