Does anyone know if your listing is suspended and payments are stopped if you make a claim against a guest?

I recently

made a  request to a guest who had more people than allowed. My listing clearly states max 7 people There is also a statement in the payment section that states a charge of $50 per person per night for an people over 7. There were 10 people that stayed for 2 nights. So I requested an additional $300 Since then I noticed my listing is no longer visible and the payment for the people that are in there now does not show it has been sent to my bank. Is this a coincidence or normal procedure?

Hi Raymond! Welcome!

Your listing is visible. You have a 5night minimum. When searching under exact dates you would need to put a 5night minimum in your date range for it to appear. I found it when I searched using dates.

Great place! You have a fantasic view and it's the perfect for your cover photo. However, it's a blurry photo of the view focusing on the lamp instead of the view. I would definitely re-take that photo and post a new one highlighting the view outside! 😉

Hi again!

For the extra payment you sent, I believe the guest has 72hours to make the payment. To check the status, login to your hosting account, the type airbnb.com/resolutions in the search bar. It will show all the requests for payments you have made and the status. See:

Cheers!

Ooops...forgot to mention....be sure to add your addl guest charge to your House Rules as guests agree to those when they book:

@Raymond458 you should not be suspended and your payments should not be stopped. I have had to make claims over the years and I was never effected in any way. it is possible that the guest could make a bogus counter claim to avoid paying and that could cause a suspension but you would have heard about it from Airbnb by now
