Dominican Republic Renting to host

Trying to start air bnb in Dominican Republic but don’t have a property so I’m thinking of renting to host the unit with the permission from the owner has anyone run into any issues with owners?

Hi @Mayra160, Punta Cana as the rest of the island are a great start for Airbnb. Our island is beautiful and the business is profitable. You do not have to pay taxes yet ( another plus) and you will be in one of the tourist favorite part of the island. Good luck on your affairs

I think basically you would be subleasing the property if you pay the rent to the property owner, but then rent it to Airbnb guests. Make sure you have a very clear subleasing clause in your contract.  There is much information in the Dominican Civil Code as it pertains to rentals and leases, tenants and property owners, etc.
