Double listing between two hosts

My partner and I want to split the listing, I host half the year and she will host the second half of the year. Proceeds are split between the two of us. Has anyone done this and does it create any problems or issues?

@Phil56 You will have half the reviews and half the chance of making super host plus, most importantly, you will be lower down the search engine pages each time you swap between hosts. What are you trying to achieve by doing this? If it is tax then there are easier ways to split the income.

it is indeed a tax related issue, what are my options?

It would be better to form an LLC and set it up so that expenses and profits are divided equally or in proportion to your personal contributions.

You should probably consult with a local accountant, but I think that you will find that if you are extremely conscientious about expensing everything that is even remotely related to your rental unit, your paper profit will be negligible and there won’t be any tax consequences to anyone.
