Salut @Peter2865 ,
You do not need the host personal email to contact the host.
Airbnb platform will be hidden guest and host personal data and phone number before booking confirmed.
Do contact your host by " Airbnb messagge " only
If you want to contact a host before booking a reservation, send them a message on Airbnb. Once your reservation is confirmed, you can message or call the host to communicate with them until the trip has ended.
If you want to find out more about a listing, host, or experience before booking, you can message the host on Airbnb. Make sure to review the listing page or experience description to clarify anything you need from the host.
To message a host before making a reservation:
For your safety and privacy, you can’t call hosts before your request is accepted. Learn more about why it’s good to keep communication and transactions on Airbnb.
If you have an accepted reservation or confirmed experience, you can reach the host by going to Trips, finding the reservation, and contacting the host from there.
You'll find the host’s phone number in the message thread for your trip, where you can also continue to send messages.
After a trip, you can send a message to your host in your Inbox if you have anything you need to follow up with them about.
If you have any issues that you need to resolve, you can work through payment issues in the Resolution Center on the site.
Best,
Hi @Peter2865
Not quite clear if this is a host you have already booked with, or a host you would like to contact before booking;
If it is a host you haven't yet booked with you can message them on their profile to make an inquiry, which will send a message through Airbnb.
If you have already made a booking, you can simply message the host through Airbnb, so there is a record of your conversation. The host should also have provided you with a phone number for emergencies.
@Peter2865 if this is a listing you have found outside of airbnb and the host is asking you to follow a link she provides or ask you to deal outside of the platform, it is most likely a scam.
In your case is probably better to find a rental through an estate agent.
