Hi @Jody278 - we just installed a a YALE lock and are using the YALE access ap (on our iphone).
Our yale lock happens to be a three point deadbolt, specific to our door, but other options exist.
The yale lock app has a 'history' and we can see 'who' unlocked. We issue individual codes for guests that are based on check in/out and our crew each has unlimited access with their code.
We DO NOT integrate this with the AIRBNB system as we don't control this side of things and getting a check in wrong isn't worth it. So we just deal with this directly thru a message.
We don't give out codes to anyone else but can open this lock for those times when we need to let someone in (furnace inspection, pest guy, whatever). We have cameras so we can see coming and going and we just ask these folks to also text us to be let in.
We also have remote access to our garage doors and can open these which is our preference versus using the main door for these cases. We us myQ garage access and highly recommend this. This tech lives inside the garage, which is heated, and so if the cold knocks out an exterior lock this tech is fine.
So far, no complaints with either.
