Preparing to pay a local hotel/room tax and getting the air b and b coverage is needed but am I missing anything else? Did you all change your home owners insurance? Did you do anything else before you started hosting? Any help would be very much appreciated.  Thank you!

Very smart to ask about homeowners insurance @Cindy1526 because many insurers don't insure short-term rentals.  Ask your current insurer about it, or have your insurance broker research it and find appropriate coverage for you.

1. Check to see if there are STR regulations and whether you are eligible to host

2. Check likely supply and demand for your sort of listing in your location. Many markets are oversaturated coupled with falling demand
