Government ID verification Greece

Government ID verification Greece

The owner of the property I manage has a handwritten government ID which the software use by Airbnb cannot read (the ID is approx 40 years old).  I have asked Airbnb on multiple occasions to manually check the ID by human as this will immediately verify that the ID is authentic and correct - no one is helping. The "specialised team" who are supposed to be dealing with is (compliance centre - they will not take phone calls) merely send me copy paste responses repeatedly asking me to upload my ID - this has been done approx 15 times with the same result.

I am now at the point where I will simply close my listing as without the verification I will not receive payouts - I have spent number hours on this and I am genuinely so exasperated at the ineptitude of the staff and inability to get someone to actually listen to me. I have submitted feedback - nothing!

Does anyone have any final resort advice that I could try before I close my listing. Have called multiple times but customer service will not assist as it's the compliance centre and they are inept.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Fedra13

They must be current, unexpired, and clearly legible

If you can’t submit a supported government ID, Airbnb may offer alternative verification methods in limited cases if you contact support.

It is current and unexpired however it is 40 years old and handwritten so needs to be verified by a human being. I have been contacting Airbnb for over a month and they have not offered any alternative nor adequate support.
