Has anyone had thier AirBNB featured on the show staycation?

If you have had it featured on any show on TV, did you see an increase in bookings? And how much?

not heard of it I'm afraid.

Depends on whether the show is watched by potential guests who are your target market and how you capitalise on your involvement by promoting your involvement @Jennifer5064

@Helen3 Thank you. It is a series that plays on Pluto TV and ROKU by the destination channel. They say they receive a million viewers a show. The show will be about Bandera and San Antonio, Texas, things to do and places to stay.  We plan on promoting it on our webpage, placing a link to show once it is aired, and advertising it on our social media. Do you have any other recommendations?

My day job is comms so have lots of recommendations  @Jennifer5064

1. talk to the tv company about how they promote and will they include links to your listing

2 build a social media campaign on your socials - lots of behind the scenes content

3. story on your website

4. contact your local media to see if they will run the story

.... for starters

who is your target market . Are they likely to watch these channels . I have both those channels and never watch them. How long will TV company want to be at your property ? What will be the cost for you of having them there. Are they paying you? Do you have a contract with them about how property will be used ? How many people ? Hours? No of vehicles ? insurance ?

Thank you for the advice it is greatly appreciated. I did not think about contacting local media or behind the scenes. It reaches our target market, and several guests stated they watch the shows. They will be on site for about five hours. It is to promote our property rentals and things to do in the area, and yes, we have a contract. @Helen3

Hi Jennifer. I was just contacted by them today. Did you move forward with Staycation promoting your rental and if so, can you please share your experience? I've never heard of them before and sceptical.

@Kauai-Prime0 Same me too! just did my Discovery Call with the team. Did you do it?

HI @Jennifer5064 ,

Yes I was on the show in big bear, they featured my house in big bear, was a really fun experience, I actually got some bookings from it and I use the video on my website and on my Vrbo listing.  super fun crew and show. Hope that helps, I can answer any more details about, just let me know.

We are filming with them in December for their Broken Bow OK show (Red Baron Lodge).  Long term - are you glad you did it?  Any Advice?  I'm pretty nervous.

OMG @Lisa10547 , congratulations on this huge opportunity 😍 I bet you must be nervous but also excited at the same time 😉

How did they get in touch with you? Do you usually have to apply for filming or they select wonderful listings and get in touch with hosts? I'd love to hear how this works.

I am also tagging @Brittany303 on your behalf, so that she receives a notification of your comment.

Looking forward to hearing more about it!

Thank you for your note and tagging the person for me!! The show reached out to me - they found my website and sent an email.

You can go to their website and apply also. I expect that might help them pick future markets. So far the experience has been great. They’ve been super to work with and great communication. Hope this helps!

Many questions here:

-What was the cost outlay on your part?
-Did you "gift" their stay?
-What restrictions/requirements for fair use of their films, videos?
- Was there breakage?
- Was there a contract statement regarding post-production clean-up- was it their job or yours?
-Was there a damage deposit requested or offered by the company?

@Donna1157 I have the same questions....Could you post the answers? I do not believe it is free.

Thank you, Thank you 🙏,

Cheers, Laura

Hi

I just finished my Discovery Call with the production Team and yes the fee they request is 7500 before filming begins.

They take about 5 hours to film a 3-5 minute segment about you and your home. I am undecided as of right now. However it does look like fun and some good PR for the home and socials.
