Hosting Protection Policy - problems

Has anyone  else been stymied by Airbnb Resolutions staff when they tried to explain an honest claim about damages done by a guest? 

 

I received conflicting reasons for why a part of claim was ignored - no discussion was  allowed when I  tried to explain that Airbnb staff seemed to have misunderstood/misjudged.

My only claim in 13+ years of hosting and I  feel Airbnb treated me like the enemy!

You can pay to go to arbitration if you feel Airbnb aren't meeting the terms of their Air Cover policy . @Merrilyn0

Carpet cleaning was ignored despite that being what Airbnb  Help advised me to do.  I rang them while the guest was here As I was scared and worried. 

The amount is only aud$411 but my concern is that the process has been so unnecessarily frustrating
