Hosting a property in another country

I live in Germany and would like to list a property in Australia. 

Is this possible,  and what would I need to be aware of?

@Sarah4178 You will have all the issues of being a remote host only you have no chance of a quick visit!

Additionally do you know where you will be liable for tax? If there is no dual tax treaty you may well end up taxed in both jurisdictions depending on Aussie/German laws
