Hi everyone,
Can someone please help clarify if I am able to host key workers at the moment, and if so do I need to apply for a permit from the council to do so or can I just accept a booking as in normal times?
I also assume I should ask from some kind of proof or justification that the guests are actually key workers.
I live and host in Wales.
Thank you very much!
Rich
@Richard512 in England I google the legislation that then tells me what I can and cannot do. Surely in Wales your government publishes their laws in a similar way?
Thanks for your reply Mike and Janr. Yes and no, the information is as ever not clear.
I believe you can host key workers in Wales as you can in other parts of the UK. @Richard512
As @Mike-And-Jane0 says it should outline exceptions that you can still host such as key workers and those between permanent homes.
I ask key workers for evidence that they are coming to take up a work contract in my area.
Thanks Helen.
Do you need some kind of licence or is proof sufficient?
@Richard512 Having read (albeit quickly) the welsh legislation I cannot find the exceptions that would allow hosting even key workers. @Helen3 may be able to supply the link that demonstrates it is allowed.
As an aside the Welsh legislation is far more confusing than the English!
Hello @Mike-And-Jane0 @Richard512
i am not familiar with Welsh Covid legislation as I work for the NHS in England .
I know that some other nations allow key workers stays and other exceptions so thought Wales might be the same.
@Richard512 you need to read through your legislation to see if you can still do STR and if so what types of visitors you can accept. I don't believe you would require a license but again check the legislation
After trailing through the welsh government information on line i really couldn't find anything of help.
My local council is also unable to directly answer this question, so i am waiting for someone with the knowledge in the council to get back to me!
