Managing a hosting calendar can sometimes feel like a full-time job. With bookings, check-ins, check-outs, cancellations, and personal commitments, staying organized is essential. 

A quick calendar check each day can make a big difference and give both hosts and guests peace of mind. Whether you use a digital calendar, a spreadsheet, or a simple notebook, finding a system that works for you is key.

How do you keep calendars on track?

This probably isn't helpful, but I am retired, and we only own/host one listing.  We are busy retirees, but have prioritized guest communication, property maintenance, restocking, and coordination with the bookkeeper, licensing board, utilities, etc.  We live about a 10 minute walk away from the listing and are often contacted by neighbors and friends about having their visiting relatives stay at our AirBNB.  This is because we are in a rural area and our listing is a popular choice with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths for family groups.  All the neighbors are supportive and we maintain good relations with them. For what it's worth, I look at the calendar every morning.

How many guests can you welcome at a time in your three-bedroom listing?

We have a limit of 6 but it is all under one booking.  I have considered adding a couch combo to the living room to increase the limit to 8.

Did you get previous bookings where guests were asking for more beds?

Maybe once in five years.  I probably could add a hideaway couch in the living room to increase the head count from 6 to 8.

We’ve never had an issue with our calendar. Maybe because we only have one listing.
