How is the displayed pricing calculated?

If someone looks at my listing without dates selected, how is the default pricing that is shown calculated?

It is showing much higher than my typical night, but I did hike my prices up for the holidays.

OK, i use the website and you are using the app ?

The problem seems to exist on the app only, as on the website i can not reproduce the error, even when entering the search system, no price info is displayed without dates selected.

@Lydia352

I used Airbnb.com (so not the local Airbnb - Dutch- version) _. BTW I added more info to previous my previous post. Please provide a screenshot of the 180,-  displayed, because i can not reproduce the error,  on my side everything looks OK with your listing. :>)

Hi, yes, I included a screen shot above. Sorry its a little blurry but you can still see the $180. I appreciate you trying to help however I am very confused as to why on your end you cannot see prices without dates selected. To my knowledge this is a standard feature that Airbnb has always offered. It is what many other people are posting about on this thread as well. Airbnb is falsely advertising us unless dates are selected. So to someone just browsing or who doesn't know their exact dates, the advertised price would be a deterrent. The CS people call it "dateless search."

EDIT: Sorry I miss the part about it being an app only problem. Unfortunately on my end the issue shows up on both the app and desktop version.

Thanks for that screen shot! If this is how airbnb displays sometimes than it will actually help my issue. Appreciate it!

@Lydia352 did you find a solution for this?

I am just going through this same problem in regards to not being able to see my new base price in dateless search. It seems to always default to the first base price I entered when I set up my listing no matter what I try. When I contacted Airbnb Help they just said that as the pricing is accurate when people put in dates then as far as they are concerned it's ok and that there is nothing I can do to change the base price in dateless search. This seems crazy and means I am stuck with looking more expensive than I am.
