Important Issue with IVA/VAT Withholding in Mexico – Incorrect CFDI

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an issue I’m having with Airbnb’s IVA (VAT) withholding in Mexico.

I just received the official CFDI for March 2026 from Airbnb Ireland (via Facturify). According to this document, they only withheld $7,808.99 MXN in IVA.

However, when I check the individual payout emails for the same month, the actual amounts withheld are much higher:

Total actually withheld: $14,865.70 MXN

There is a difference of $7,056.71 MXN that was over-withheld.

This is a serious discrepancy. Airbnb is deducting one amount from my payouts but declaring a completely different (much lower) amount to the SAT in the official CFDI.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?. I need this resolved urgently — either by correcting the CFDI to reflect the real amount withheld ($14,865.70 MXN) or by refunding the difference immediately.

I would appreciate any advice from the community or a response from Airbnb on how they plan to fix this.

Thank you,

Pamela
