Insurance in UK for thatched property with hot tub

Hi there,

Does anyone have any advice / good experiences with finding an insurance policy that covers a thatched property with a hot tub. Feeling nervous about liability with the hot tub and fires with the thatch. Airbnb suggest their Aircover is adequate.

@Sarahjayne0 You could try JL Morris insurance brokers. Aircover will NOT cover you if the property catches fire except in the case where a) Airbnb are feeling generous (they have no requirement to pay out) and b) you can prove a guest's negligence caused the fire. An electrical fault will NOT be covered neither will lightening strike to give a couple of examples.

Airbnb suggest their Aircover is adequate...until you try making a claim, @Sarahjayne0. Tread carefully and absolutely go belt and braces.
