Insurance

Insurance

hi there we are new to this just starting today.

The House is insured through a normal insurance provider and I know the Airbnb provide Insurance.

Do I need both or should I cancel my existing household insurance or get a policy specifically for Airbnb.

@Alan2194 talk to your insurance provider. Many will no longer cover your property even when it is not being rented by Airbnb guests.

Second problem is Aircover is not a regulated insurance product

Thirdly Aircover only covers guest damage (although even that is debatable) so if the pipe breaks and floods the house you are not covered.

Fourthly Aircover only pays a depreciated amount so anything over a few years old is deemed worthless

If the above is enough to worry you perhaps call JL Morris insurance brokers and see what policies they offer.
