I am in Los Angeles and host guests in my personal home for 30 days or longer since 2020. The calendar is very buggy in general and sees open days as blocked, gives warnings about minimums that are not applicable etc etc. But the WORST bug is that even though I have a 30 day minimum set, and have for 5 years,, sone sort of bug is causing a violation to be applied asking me for a short term registration number (which one must get from the city). I do not rent short term. The listing is set for a 30 day minimum. Yet, I am delisted as if I have had a violation applied. I have spoken with customer service many times to no avail. In desperation I opened the calendar for a second room that I rarely rent as it's my primary office - also set to minimum 30 day rental. I didn't touch the calendar except to open a 60 day span. Now this one is delisted for the exact same reason. I am being told its with the tech team and a known bug but there are no estimates to when it will be fixed. It's been two weeks; I have no renter for June and July. As a single woman I rely on airbnb to find midterm roommates to help pay my massive rent in Los Angeles safely and securely - for me it's a way to have security checks, an escrow for funds and a contract.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Hi @Kristen56,
Thank you for sharing your experience—and I'm truly sorry you're facing this frustrating issue. You're not alone. We've seen other hosts encounter similar calendar bugs, particularly related to minimum stay settings and STR compliance in cities with strict rules like Los Angeles.
You're doing everything right by setting a 30-day minimum, which should exempt you from STR registration requirements. The issue sounds like an internal glitch misinterpreting your settings—especially since it's happening across multiple listings.
A few suggestions while Airbnb’s tech team works on a fix:
Document Everything – Take screenshots of your listing settings, calendar availability, and the error messages. This helps when escalating.
Request Escalation – If you haven’t already, ask Support to escalate your case to the Trust & Safety team or Policy Enforcement.
Try Re-publishing – Some hosts have had success toggling listing status (unlist > save > relist), which occasionally resets the bug.
Connect with LA Host Clubs – They may have workarounds or updates directly from Airbnb’s local partnerships team.
Also tagging @Joan2709 and @Marie8425 who are experienced and often helpful with platform issues.
Airbnb's community and safety features are vital for hosts like you—especially solo hosts managing long stays. Please keep us updated here, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help drafting a message for escalation.

I would definitely today find the local group.
Usually if something is a known tech problem for 2 weeks, you shouldn't be the only listing effected, other listings do 30 day minimums, and other listings also depend on their rentals. You are the first mention I have heard, odd?
Monday, Airbnb Custom Promotions had a bug. Tuesday, there were a few posts. All the posts were active from other Hosts.,
Odd your bug is a lot bigger then sale button don't work. No Hosts in LA care that Airbnb has a bug that impacts ability to rent at all 14 days at a prime time calendar wise?
Hi @Marie8425 and @Kristen56,
Appreciate both of you for shedding light on this. You’re right—when it’s a widespread bug, we usually hear a ripple of concern through the community pretty quickly. The silence from other LA-based hosts around this issue does seem unusual, especially considering how critical midterm stays are for compliance and income.
We’ve seen other platform issues get traction fast, like the Custom Promotions glitch you mentioned. So if this is indeed affecting 30-day minimum listings more deeply, it's definitely worth connecting with local host groups for visibility and shared advocacy.
@Kristen56 — your situation is understandably frustrating. You’ve done everything by the book, and I hope the tech team comes through soon with a fix. In the meantime, if there’s anything we can support or signal boost in the community, we’re here for it.
Warmly,
—Team Arya Stay 🌿
Did you opt-in early to the new release?
I just checked your profile and it says you are a Host, but I don't see your listing there? That's odd. Can you post the URL to your listing?
