We just wanted to share this email message from the City of Los Angeles, Finance Office in case anyone out there does not know it yet (like we didn’t). Thank you.

 

Hello, 
 
Thank you for contacting the Office of Finance. A BTRC is required for short terms rentals in Los Angeles regardless of the number of units. However, you only need to report zero every month since Airbnb reports gross receipts on your behalf.  Please complete the business tax certificate application and return it to us at your earliest convenience.
