Multicalendar synchronization problems - NEED HELP!

Hello everyone, I'm Sun, a Superhost residing near Paris for the past few years. I'm here seeking any kind of advice or tips desperately.

Unfortunately, I'm facing critical multicalendar synchronization issues, particularly with pricing accuracy, including smart pricing. I have observed that my multiple calendars are once again not syncing with each other, similar to an issue I encountered a few months ago. This problem significantly affects my reservations, and I believe it's crucial to address it promptly.

I use smart pricing on each calendar, setting my nightly price. However, when attempting a short-term promotion, a significant issue arises. There's a difference between what I set for smart pricing and the original price the calendar shows. This indicates that smart pricing is not functioning correctly, undoubtedly pointing to a bug in our calendar.

Similarly, when attempting to set a nightly price using the base price system, it also fails to function. Even though I changed the price in each calendar, it doesn't adapt at all on my multiple calendars. Thus, there is no syncing.

In summary, none of my six listings accurately reflect the pricing, whether utilizing smart pricing or base pricing. Multicalendar neither.

I'm exhausted from not being heard and witnessing my business collapse. I felt compelled to take action, which led me to write this message in here.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone knows the solution.

Hi @Sun1410

It's a bit confusing, but when using the multicalendar prices are displayed differently than when viewing the regular calendar. Custom Promotions are indicated by a turquoise dot on dates in the multicalendar, but show the normal price. To see the actual discounted price, you have to toggle back to the regular calendar view. Below is an example of a Custom Promotion set for Dec 1-3. As you can see the price view is different between the two calendars. To see the actual price the guest will be paying on your Custom Promotion, you have to view the regular calendar; not the multicalendar:

I don't use smart pricing, but maybe another Host who uses Smart Pricing and the multicalendar can respond here. I would assume the price views may be different also. Hope this helps. Let us know here if it does as it might help another Host with the same issue,

Thank you very much @Joan2709  for your assistance. Following your response, I conducted further research on pricing and realized that my understanding of the original price was not accurate. With the insights gained from your explanation and my research, I now have a better understanding of what factors determine the original price.

However, I am currently facing an issue with price inconsistencies between the calendar and multicalendar. Specifically, when I set the daily price on the calendar, it does not reflect or adjust on my multicalendar. Additionally, promotions with rule-sets on the multicalendar do not seem to be applied to the calendar. I am unsure how to resolve this issue.

Hi @Sun1410

It's a bit difficult to offer further help without being able to see your calendars 🤔

Custom Promotions

I don't believe prices are editable for a Custom Promotion; check with CS on that. I believe if you have a Rule Set that concerns check-in, check-out or trip length it will still be applied. However, I don't think ia Rule Set to change pricing will work if you're using a Custom Promotion. (the prices are locked in by the Custom Promotion). You can delete a Custom Promotion and then your Rule Set regarding price changes would work (I think). Again, you need to speak with CS on that.

Smart Pricing

As I mentioned, I don't use Smart Pricing. I thought I saw another Host say that Rule Sets won't work with Smart Pricing? I would verify that with CS or another Host who uses both Rule Sets and Smart Pricing. You can always manually change a price if you use Smart Pricing on the regular calendar. Any Rule Sets regarding check-in/check-out dates, or trip length should still work even if you have a Custom Promotion.

Multicalendar

Actual price per night when using a Custom Promotion will only appear on the regular calendar. The only indication that you have a Custom Promotion on the multicalendar is the turquoise dot.

Rule Sets appear with shading on the multicalendar and will not be applied unless a guest actually books a trip. If you discount a price (or increase a price) using a Rule Set, the actual increase or decrease will not occur until the guest books. The price per night for any date (other than when using a Custom Promotion) should appear the same on both the regular calendar and the multicalendar.

Sorry couldn't be more help. Perhaps another Host can chime in about Smart Pricing and Rule Sets.

Hi @Sun1410 , I noticed your thread and wanted to ask if have you also reached out to the Customer Support team to know further on what could be causing the issue?
