New fee structure

New fee structure

This is absolutely a horrible decision on AirBnN’s part. It completely penalizes the host.  We have been hosting for over 10 years and a Superhost for the entire time.  I will be thinking hard about staying on with AirBnB bead on this policy change. It adversely affects the host too much.  Especially on the Income tax and Rooms& Meal Tax

I totally agree with you since the changes my booking rate and amount I earn reduced! Some people write copy paste response Tin relation to this to everyone raising the concern about the new pricing system...anyways, the main problem is that they included the cleaning fee also within their 15.5% cut and they kept the cleaning fee bands the same. So the longer they book, the less is your take home! As simple as that! They say increase the cleaning fee as well. Who would book your place when they see a massive cleaning fee! OK, you increased the cleaning fee too, there aren't enough bands so if you adjust according to 30 days stay then you lose shorter term staying guests...it is damaging hosts earning, in the lond term it will damage Airbnb too...as I am also thinking to quit, cos I have only one room, if my earning will be 36 pounds per night plus a lot of empty nights, then I prefer getting a permanent lodger

The cleaning fee has been subject to the service fee since the launch of Airbnb as on all other bookingplatforms @Meral238

Otherwise all hosts will charge zero per night and cleaning only.
