New to hosting UK

Hey I'm a complete newbie to hosting and kind of messed up before I really was ready to start! But hopefully I've resolved that now!

Couple of questions if any one can advise.

1 - Security deposits- can we request these and if so how?

2 - What would I do if damage was done? How would I resolve this?

3 - I've added an extra charge on for a pet but someone has booked and told me they are bringing a dog yet the extra charge hasn't been added on - have I don't something wrong?

1. securiy deposits are not actually charged. You can add one to the listing:

2. procedures for damage:

3. The guest need to add the pet in the booking form, only then the pet fee will be caclulated.

Thanks for that. I don't seem to have the pricing option as you described above to add a security deposit. It just gives me the options of extras eg cleaning fee or pets but no security deposit. I will keep looking.
