I am a single mom in Turkey. My daughter is 7 and she is autistic. Airbnb has been the only source of income for me.
My brother was running this account and I took over at the beginning of the year. I also established my private company, solely owned by me. I informed Airbnb team about changing the status of this account into a busines account and I submitted all the legal business documents.
On Feb 7th 2023, AirBnb support team wrote to me, saying that my info was being reviewed and that I would be contacted if more info was needed. Then on Feb 14th, I received another message in the same thread, saying that my payouts were paused since I did not respond to the support team!!!
So since Feb 14th, I have been calling and sending messages to the support ambassadors, asking what information is missing, requesting the issue to be escalated.
But I keep getting the same automated messages.
Finally yesterday I received a call from the support team, stating that the accounts were under review for money laundering and terrorist activity!!
I was so shocked to hear this. Since I am taking all the necessary steps to run my Airbnb business according to local laws of Turkey. I submit ID information of all my guests to the Police department, I started my company this year in order to declare my increased income and pay relevant taxes.
May I also add that my poor country was hit by several earthquakes 2 weeks ago and that we are going through the disaster of the century!
The whole world is sending help to Turkey while Airbnb decides to pause my payouts!
How am I supposed to keep hosting my guests when I can't even pay the cleaning team?
How can I take my autistic daughter to special therapy classes when I can't pay the class fee?
How am I supposed to send donation to the earthquake release efforts for my family and friends in the affected area?
Please @Bhumika @Jenny tell me what I can do on my side to expedite this process. I also added my own personal bank account as a payout method to prove that I am actually a real person. My goverment ID was also verified. So what else?

@Güneş5 Airbnb has to comply with money laundering and terrorism legislation. They are not accusing you of this but have to review all hosts if they are to operate legally.

Thank you Mike, I do understand that I am not being accused and I totally agree that all users must comply to the legislation.
My payouts started again as of this morning :))
We are having same problem too. Can you give the information to us please how many days later, you started to get payout?

I am having the same experience here in Barbados. I hosted a guezt since Feb 5th to 10th and until noe np Payout. I was told that my payout was on hold because i needed to sibmit proof of my registered business i did this since July last year. O have spent so much time and money calling support only to get empty apologies and that my case has been escalated to a specislized team. NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. Now yesterday i called and the agent wentn. through my account and told me everything is there but i have to delete my payout method and put it in again.!!!!! Then i have to wait business days to have it be veiwed Why could they not have told me that 3 weeks ago. I am behind in my payments and i know my phone bill will be ridiculous. I still dont know why payouts were paused but it seems to be an internal error.
I should be refunded for this delay in payment.

However i have sent my info so many times to different specialized agents but there is never any follow up so each time you are starting from scratch and get the same apologies and false promises.

Thanks Bumika i just got word that my payouts are no longer paused and the money should be with me within 3 to 5 business days as usual. Thanks for assisting.
