Planning for out building

Planning for out building

Hi all, I have a building I have been using for a business. Which is separate to my house

I have a certificate of lawful use.   It won't require any changes to the building as it already has bathroom and kitchen.  Has anyone got experience in the UK, Essex area on planning.

Many thanks in advance

You will probably need planning permission/building regs for using the property for commercial use for short term lettings.

Speak to the planning team at Essex Council and see what they say. @Tracy1008

Have you done this? As for my certificate of lawful, it took 8 months for them to make a decision

No I don't have a separate property in my garden that I use for STR.

If you already have planning permission for using the building for short term lets you will be fine.

As I said speak to your local planning department so they can clarify. @Tracy1008
