Post situation

Hi everyone, I’m sharing an update because my fundraiser post was removed from the Airbnb Community Center.

I understand the platform has guidelines.

However, I want to be transparent about what happened: I was trying to share a direct way for people to support urgent humanitarian needs in Venezuela. I’m Venezuelan, and I’ve been working through my own nonprofit based in Miami for years. I’ve personally experienced that Airbnb has not provided support or connected me to resources regarding this crisis—despite me being part of the community and attempting to help using my own capacity.

After posting, my fundraiser was taken down with the reason that “external fundraising links” aren’t allowed in the forums. At the same time, I was told to look into Airbnb.org. With respect, I have not seen meaningful help from Airbnb or outreach from their team, and in the meantime the need continues.

I’m not asking for special treatment—I’m asking for clarity and real support. If Airbnb.org is the proper channel, I’m requesting guidance on how community members can actually get connected to humanitarian support quickly, and what alternatives are available when crisis fundraising links are removed.

If anyone from the Airbnb Community Center can point me to the correct process—or if Airbnb.org can review and support what I’m already doing—I would be grateful. People are hurting, and this crisis needs action, not just redirection.

Thank you for reading.
