I have a potential guest that sent me a very long questionnaire about the products I use in my home, everything from scented candles, to type of laundry soap, to teflon pans, etc, etc.. He says he has a medical condition to toxins. While I try to maintain a scent free and toxin free home, and am very attuned to any guest's particular issues, I can't say I meet all of this criteria. He claims to be a digital nomad yet he only has one review (2 words, good guest) from 2022. He says he usually stays on VRBO. Nothing seems to add up with this person. Has anyone had a similar experience? Was it legit?
Hi @Ken3003 ,
The questions about scented stuff wouldn't necessarily bother me but the one review isn't a lot to go on.
If you are on VRBO I would ask him to reach out that way as well so you can see his ratings there. And then if there is more evidence then that would be a better guide.
Otherwise I would ask some further questions if business you wish to pursue.
Good luck.
To be honest I would run from this booking . Just say you aren't able to meet his criteria and wish him luck with finding a listing that meets his requirements @Ken3003
Has to be some type of scam. I've gotten the same question on different platforms almost to the T.
I have no idea what it's all about, but it DEF sounds off, so Decline, decline, decline !
Hi @Ken3003 😊,
Thank you so much for asking this question here, it’s always good to double-check with our hosts.
What do you think about the situation after discussing with them? What did you decide to do?
Don’t hesitate to let me know if you need more help!
