@Susan5966 When possible have the property manager check the site before cleaners start, especially for larger groups.
If it is one of our cleaners who is well established working with short term rentals and the standards, go off of their turnover reports for the condition/concerns/praises of the guests.
If I feel I may want to check the situation out more when remote (newer cleaners/more strictly cleaning based thought processing) I will ask the cleaners for before photos of each room/any area worth mentioning (kind note, damages, missing property etc.) upon walking in, and after photos. Then I can cross compare from last turnovers service photos, if needed, which I require from all our cleaners mandatory every clean.
