Hi everyone,
I’m a new host and I’ve run into an issue that’s really affecting my business, and I’d appreciate any advice.
Airbnb suddenly informed me that my account requires an additional review before I can accept further reservations. Because of this, they cancelled an upcoming confirmed booking (Reservation code: *) right before check-in, even though this was not caused by anything on my end.
My guest has now been fully refunded, and Airbnb mentioned that they will follow up with me to complete the review and possibly have the reservation rebooked—but I haven’t received clear instructions yet.
This situation is quite stressful because:
- It affects my guest experience and credibility as a host
- The booking was confirmed and ready
- Pricing has now increased, making it harder for the guest to rebook
- I’m currently losing income due to something outside my control
I’d like to ask:
- Has anyone experienced this kind of account review before?
- How long does this process usually take?
- What steps can I take to speed this up?
- Is there any way Airbnb can honor the original booking price for the guest?
I’m trying to resolve this as quickly as possible and avoid further cancellations.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Karisan
