Restrictions on using links in communication with guests

Hello Forum, new host and first post.

Are there restrictions on what can and can't be sent to guests once they are confirmed bookings?

I soon discovered external links were restricted at the enquiry stage, but have successfully sent links, e.g. a location pin, to guests with confirmed bookings. Just a paste of the link which automatically became a dynamic web address.

However,  I set up a google form to provide information and request guest preferences. The link to the form did paste as text, but not as a clickable web address, and having had no responses from the 4 guests it was sent to, i wonder if it was somehow redacted/censored by AirBNB.

My questions are:-

Is there a way to tell that a message through the Airbnb backend has been sent successfully or better still seen by the recipient?

Is there a guide as to what you can and can't send through airbnb? I'm not looking to circumvent any rules, but if you don't know what the rules are it is impossible to abide by them.

Many thanks

Nick

You can sent any information when a reservation is confirmed, including URL's, images , phonenumbers etc..

But you can not sent those information to a guest without a confirmed reservation  (URL's it will be blocked by Airbnb, although you can sent URL's regarding the Airbnb platform, eg to helpfiles or to another listing you own).

If a link does not appear as clickable in the messagesytem, maybe try to add https://  to it.

Please note once a reservation is confirmed you can also sent attachments etc., as described here in section:  "Using an email alias" :

Thanks for confirming this Emiel, most helpful x
