Short term let application

Hi guys

Newish to Airbnb, but with Scotland now demanding short term let applications I’d like a little advice from anyone who’s undergone the process.

I believe I have all the information required, apart from public liability insurance and pat testing. 

With Airbnb’s own air over do we still need to provide public liability insurance?

As we’re only renting a room in a large house do we need pat testing.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi. Yes to needing your own public liability  insurance.  I organised mine as part of my building  insurance.

Yes also to PAT testing but only in the areas where the guests would be able to touch /use electrical items. You don't need to test areas which are only used by yourself and your family.
