Managing Airbnb

I am a current Superhost and would like to add an owner as a co-host for their property. However, I am unsure if their account will be able to inherit or benefit from my Superhost status once I co-host for them.

Specifically, I would like to confirm whether the Superhost status remains tied to my account, or if there’s any possibility for the owner’s account to gain Superhost status through this co-host arrangement.

Additionally, I want to ensure that tax information remains correctly separated. If I manage the listing as a co-host, will the owner’s tax details be properly associated with their account, rather than mine, when it comes time to file taxes? If there are any steps I need to take to ensure my personal tax information is not involved in the owner’s tax filings, please let me know.

@Maressa3  The owner should be the owner of the account and you should be the co-host.

This means that the owner will have to earn their own ranking and reviews, and that ranking and review profile will stay with them should they leave you, AND if they have a poor ranking, it should not affect your super host status.

Also, if they own the account, then their tax details and payments will be separate from yours.  If you are the owner of the account, then AirBnB will send the 1099 to you.
