Starting an Airbnb in a Different State

So, I have a question. But first here's some background:

I've been doing short term rentals for a few years but I've only ever done direct bookings. I started with friends and family then it grew to  friends and family OF friends and family. It's starting to get a little more  busy and I have a really good grasp on my city laws, my current operations, cleaning is getting crazy though. 

Here's my problem/ opportunity that I am curious about. My mum is moving out of our child hood home to live with her S/O and has asked me to run an STR for her after she is gone from the house. The only catch is that she lives 2 time zones and several miles of ocean away from me. 

Here's my question: How can I get started with being a remote host while still keeping quality for new guests? I'm already facing challenges in cleaning my local STR and I need this process to be secured before I start this remote host life. Has anyone done something like this before?

@Collin101 I think you already know the answer. Unless you can find a reliable cleaner/co host/neighbour/handyperson near your mothers house it will be a nightmare!
