I researched my city code before signing up for AirBnB and have been paying 6% transient taxes since day one. I also signed up for Open Home and have 6% deducted from my payout each stay which is supposed to go toward housing individuals in disasters. I still have to pay taxes, transient and income tax, on that deducted revenue. How can I get AirBnB to provide tax exempt certification on that money?
