Dear Airbnb community,
I'm reaching out because I've been experiencing an issue with payouts being withheld from my Airbnb account. The payout was stopped on 4/4 and it has now been over a month since I last received payment. I've noticed that many other hosts have experienced the same issue, and it's really affecting my ability to operate my business.
When I contacted Airbnb support, they told me to wait for the compliance team to contact me. However, I haven't heard anything from them for over two weeks. When I followed up, I was asked to answer a few questions about my account status, but then the thread went quiet again. I'm feeling very frustrated and concerned about the lack of communication and transparency from Airbnb.
My partner and I have been hosting on Airbnb for 10 years, and we've been super hosts for every single one of those years. We're dedicated to providing our guests with an exceptional experience, and it's disheartening to see how Airbnb treats hosts who have been loyal to the platform for so long. To date, over $40,000 USD in payout has been withheld from us, which is a significant amount for our business.
If you've experienced payout withholding on your Airbnb account and have successfully resolved the issue, I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance you can offer. Additionally, if there are any Airbnb representatives or community moderators who can assist me and other affected hosts, please reach out to me or comment below.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message, and I hope we can work together to find a solution to this issue.

Hi @Jan666 ,
I am so sorry to hear about the situation you are facing and understand how worrying it is given the amount.
Please be assured that I am also checking in with the related team so that they can assist you further and reach out to you.
Meanwhile, it would be worth reviewing if your KYC information is up-to-date from your end: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/3004.
I hope this gets resolved for you soon!

HI Bhumika,
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your willingness to assist us. We greatly appreciate it.
Unfortunately, we are still facing the same problem as many other hosts. We provided feedback to the compliance team regarding our situation, but we have not received any updates from them for over a month. Our funds have been held indefinitely, and we feel frustrated and helpless.
We would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide to help us resolve this issue. We have made sure that our KYC information is up-to-date, but we are still unable to access our funds.
Thank you again for your help, and we look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Hi @Jan666 ,
Sorry for the delay! I reached out to the team again regarding this. Hope they will get in touch with you.
Hi Bhumika,
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to provide you with an update regarding our communication with the Airbnb compliance team. Unfortunately, although they did finally respond to our inquiries on May 10th, their response was simply a reminder to complete the KYC process, which we had already done.
We have been experiencing difficulties in obtaining any further guidance or explanation on how to address our unique situation with multiple listings and 3rd party company involvement. Despite sending daily emails, we have yet to receive any meaningful response since May 11th.
Given this situation, we are considering temporarily suspending our listings on Airbnb until this payout issue is resolved. We would appreciate any advice or assistance that you could provide in this matter.
Hi @Jan666 I thought larger scale STR businesses like yours had an account manager system that you could contact in case of issues.
If Airbnb are not paying out I would stop using them as a channel for your STR business until they resolve their issues and consider court action to get your money back.
